What Buyers Should Look For:1)Inspect the transom for stress. 2)Inspect the hull for fading,oxidation or possible hidden repairs. 3)Look for blisters beneath the gel coat 4)Inspect the decks for stiffness or soft spots. 5)Inspect for fiberglass delamination. 6)Inspect running gear i.e. props, shaft, strut, rudder,skegs 7)Inspect electrical systems (110/12v) 8)Check all gauges 9)Check all controls:shift, throttle, forward, reverse 10)Check all switches 11)Measure compression in all cylinders 12)Inspect all fluids and look for suspected water intrusion causing oil or transmission fluids to become milky. 13)Inspect zinc anodes in engine and running gear. 14)Get a repair and maintenance history 15)Look for fluid leaks or advanced rust. 16)Inspect manifolds for cracks/leaks 17)Check for flame arrestor(required USCG) 18)Take a test ride. Note ease of starting and idleing. 19)Does boat plane quickly? Trim tabs working, steering responsive, sterndrive working, no unusal vibration underway. 20)Check Nav lights, horn, portholes, hatches, head, microwave, fridge, air conditioning, 110V outlets for GFI, other electrical appliances including generator. 21)Check circuit panel: all circuit breakers and rocker switches working. 22)Test hot water heater, toilet, showers and faucets.
