Welcome to ALsYachts

ALsYachts image Let’s face it. No two boat deals are the same. Only a really lengthy yacht brokerage career can prepare a broker for the surprise hidden in the next deal.

My 40+ year career in the boating industry has included dozen-year stints in the Caribbean and south Florida before arriving in California in the late 1980s.

My professional career includes several dealer awards for a number of the new boat manufacturers. I have been privileged to represent a broad spectrum of yacht brokerage including, motor yachts both contemporary and classic, sport fishing yachts, and long range cruisers both power and sail.

I’ve managed the purchase or sale of three vessels of over 100 feet and have sold boats into and from every major body of water in the country.

Along the way I also owned a small boat yard, a sailing school, and published a sailing manual.

While in Florida in the early 80s, I served a term as an officer the Florida State yacht brokers association I have also served several terms as an officer of yacht clubs and sailing associations. Fun in the 70s embraced a lengthy sailboat racing career in the Caribbean. I have even managed to own 31 boats personally. You bet I understand well the THREE HAPPIEST DAYS IN THE LIFE OF A YACHTSMAN.

These days more than ever I enjoy the interaction with the people. The owners the prospective owners as well as the surveyors, the lenders and insurers, the documentation people, the yard supers and technicians, the skippers and the many professional in the yacht brokerage industry. At this point my personal network extends into every yachting center in the country.

Anyone can do a simple deal. And once in a while I actually get to do one that is easy (truthfully that is usually because it is the 2nd or 3rd deal with that client) The rest of the time I work hard at anticipating the problems and solving them in advance so that it looks easy. I don’t lose any deals because of failure of imagination. May I help YOU?
