Most brokerages (and brokers too for that matter), have little familiarity with traditional boats of either gaff or bermudan rig (marconi), and therefore do their best to either steer clear of them entirely, or represent them poorly. Remember, European and American classics of every type from catboats to schooners, and even Baltic traders are our speciality! We make it a point to research each and every listing to find out as much as we possibly can, and have that information available to you, the customer.

While unusual yachts represent a splendid niche for us, we also realise that most people are looking for more standard types of yachts, such as sportfisherman, trawlers, and motoryachts, and so do our best to maintain a selection of these as well. Finally, because we spend a lot of time wandering around the lesser-known boatyards in search of classic and custom yachts, we often come across boats that are either about to come on to the market, or COULD be for sale if the price was right. Featured Boat 33' Coaster 33 Ketch 1988 US$ 75,000 A classic little motorsailer from the East Coast of the United Kingdom, the Coaster 33 has quite a following among those who know an oustanding boat when they see one! These little pilothouse motorsailers are quite rare in the US, but are great favorites in Europe, because of the quality of their accommodations, their sea-kindly behavior in rough seas, and perhaps surprisingly, their sailing performance as well! The lightweight aluminum maninmast is mounted on a tall coachroof tabernacle, which allows the mast to be easily lowered for those interested in canal cruising, or for those that have bridge issues along their favorite cruising route (which is a HUGE plus for those cruising in Europe, or up the big rivers of the US). While the Coaster 33 is a thoroughly well-thought-out design,'Divine Providence' is one of only TWO Coaster 33's that are in the US (the other 45 boats are all still in Europe!), and with her all-roller-furling ketch rig, is ideal for either a young couple with children, or especially retirees that can't quite give up the notion of sailing for a trawler.... Small and efficient motorsailers are hard to find anywhere in the US, and at this price, you would be hard-pressed to find anything close in comparison!
