Meet our Surveyor
Slobodan Bobic has an enormous experience of 33 years in the marine industry.
He has graduated from the Technical University of Belgrade, Serbia as a Naval Architect. His career started in “Brodosplit” Shipyard in Split, Croatia where he served for 7 years as Basic Technology Department Manager. In this period, through two years of constant work, his group established principals for Earlier Outfitting Technology with IHI experts from Japan. In 1982 he was employed in Repair Shipyard “Zadar” in Zadar, Croatia where he served as Production Manager for 10 years and another 6 as Technical Department years. Through this long period, as Chief of 600 - 1000 workers he collected very wide experience. For three years (2002 to 2005) he was employed in “SAS-Vektor” yacht factory. During that period he set up production reorganization and made one, now very popular 10m long cruising motor boat (semi-displacement type). From the beginning of his career he has his private parallel business with his engineering firm. In the area of town Zadar, centre of fishing and nautical tourism, he has finished almost 200 several projects – mostly reconstructions, several new buildings (yacht’s, 24m fishing boats, 30m long tourist ship and luxury 38 m long schooner-to mention a few). It was always a combination of Register documentation production and realization as surveyor or producer. His separate interest is floating marinas and he made and realized the project for marina “Borik” – Zadar (approx 300 berths in sea). Today he is carrying out a few new projects (tourist ship for National Park “Krka”, two small fisherman and large reconstructions of two 30 m long fishing boats). Beside else, he has specializations for welding, repair welding technology and hydraulic connecting systems. The last years he has been very active as Judicial Expert for shipbuilding and damage expert in important Insurance companies such as Allianz, Generali , Grawe and Jadransko Osiguranje, Yacht Pool International and many Banks and Leasing.
