Our Staff
Broker Jim Guin can be your personal yacht broker and work exclusively for you. I am a member of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association. FYBA members subscribe to a Code of Ethics and we are held accountable by the association, whereas ordinary Non-FYBA licensees are not. I have an extensive background and knowledge of all variety of yachts and boats from my surveying experience.
I first became licensed as a yacht salesman in 1990. I listed and sold new yachts and pre-owned yachts & commercial vessels. I am a Florida Yacht & Ship Broker; Licensed and Bonded.
Memberships include:
- Florida Yacht Brokers Association, Professional Active.
- American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC®), Standards Accredited.
- Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors, Affilate Member.
- My military experience is U.S. Coast Guard, Lt. Commander, retired. I have over eight years of sea duty on Cutters from 65' to 213'.
- Deck Watch Officer on 65', 210' & 213' ships.
- Chief Engineer on vessels up to 5000 H. P.
- Five years as Port Engineer for all classes of vessels up to 10,000 HP.
- Two years as Commanding Officer of CG Base San Juan, Puerto Rico.
- Two years at CG Shipyard, Baltimore, as Chief of Allowances Branch.
- Coast Guard MASTER, 100 Tons, power or sail, License # 856347, third issue.
Kevin Reed is a retired business owner with 35 years of power boating and sailing experience. Kevin has owned powerboats as well as sailboats, which he has operated on the Alaskan Inland Waterway, Great Lakes and Eastern Seaboard. Upon retirement Kevin and his wife cruised the Chesapeake and Eastern Seaboard on their Island Packet 38 sailboat for six months. After settling in the Melbourne area Kevin and his spouse then lived aboard their IPY where they sailed the local waters. Captain Andre Martineau practices high standards of ethics and honesty; he is a professional in whom you can most confidently place your business and your trust. Licensed and bonded and a member of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association.
Captain Andre graduated from Maine Maritime Academy in 1972 and worked as deck hand, third and second officer aboard harbor and ocean going tugs. He joined a major oil company in 1973 as third officer and worked his way up to captain in 1981. In 1984 he was promoted to Port Captain in San Francisco, CA and later returned to sea as captain of very large crude carriers (VLCC) in 1987. He retired from sea in 2005.
While at the academy he was very involved with all the small boats including the many yachts that were donated to the academy. Over the years Andre has sailed many small vessels both sail and power for pleasure which has given him the experience to help clients either sell or purchase a boat of their desire.
